Terms and Conditions

Delivery Information
The Mexican Rug Company (UK) Ltd. aims to deliver your goods to anywhere in the UK within 7 working days of receiving your order. It is possible that this may take longer due to circumstances beyond our control. If for any reason part, or all, of your order cannot be fulfilled within this time, we will contact you as soon as possible with an expected delivery date.

We offer free delivery within the UK Mainland only. This is based on our standard delivery service. If you require delivery to any other destination then please contact us. Guaranteed next day delivery may be possible in special circumstances but may also incur additional costs.

Overseas Orders
Delivery times for overseas orders will take longer than UK mainland deliveries, due to the distance involved and additional packaging requirements. Should we be unable to ship your order within our usual time-scale, we will contact you to discuss the matter. Cost of such deliveries to be determined individually according to size of order and destination.

Orders for products not in stock.
In the unlikely eventuality that an item you have ordered is out of stock, we will contact you by email or telephone with the option to cancel or change the item. We endeavour to fulfil all orders as quickly as possible. However, the hand-crafted nature and exclusivity of our products, and their country of origin, means that certain ranges take time to re-stock. We will naturally keep you fully informed on the progress of your selected item(s).

Special Commissions
If you have placed an order for a specially commissioned item made to your own specific requirements (and not available from our standard stock) then we will not be able to deliver the goods within our usual 7 day period. We will discuss this with you when you place your order. A deposit or payment in full will be required for all special commissions.

Payment
At present we only accept online orders via PAYPAL using credit or debit cards. PAYPAL take responsibility for capturing and storing card details on their secure servers and always ensure that this information is held with the very high levels of security you would expect from a major financial services company.

Please note that we do not process payment for orders until we have the stock or the order is despatched to you and until this point you may cancel the service for delivery of your goods by next day delivery should this have been requested. If you do cancel the next day delivery service we will, unless you also cancel your order for the goods, deliver the goods using our standard delivery service as set out above.

VAT & Customs Duties
Value Added Tax is charged on most goods and services within the European Union. UK VAT is currently 20% and all product prices displayed on our web site include VAT at this rate.

We are required by law to collect VAT on orders despatched to addresses within the European Union. Orders sent to addresses anywhere else in the world will not be subject to VAT and this will be deducted from the net price shown.

Customs Information for Overseas Orders
Orders despatched to destinations outside the European Union may be subject to local taxes and customs charges. Customs forms for all international packages list the value of the contents as well as a description of the items. Any customs or import duties levied once the package reaches your country must be borne by you. Your local customs offices will provide help and information in these matters.

Returns Policy
All damages or order errors must be reported by email upon receipt of goods (in the instance that goods cannot be checked upon delivery, you should sign for goods as unchecked). In the unlikely event that your order does not reach you in perfect condition, we will arrange for them to be exchanged, or for you to receive a full refund of the purchase price.

Cancellations or Errors in delivery
Any cancellations to internet placed orders will be subject to an administration charge of £10. You have seven days only from receipt of goods in which to inform us of returns for any reason, including faults. This must be done by email within this period, to ensure you have proof that you were within our seven day returns policy should there be any enquiry at a later date..

The cost of returning goods, other than faulty or ordering errors, will be paid for by the customer. All returns must be packaged as received ,and the product received by ourselves in as-new condition or a full refund will not be given. Refunds will be processed within 7 working days after goods have been returned to us.

These conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a UK consumer.

Important Note - ANY order for Rugs or Ceramics, which are made especially to your particular requirements are non returnable, unless damaged or faulty, as these are made specifically to order. As all of our products are hand crafted sizes and weights may vary. Please be aware of this before placing your order.

Quality of Colour and Images
Due to the nature of computer monitors, image capture, and printing processes involved in producing our brochures, apparent colours may vary slightly. Every effort has been made to reflect the true colours of our products. There will inevitably be some variation in size and colour of hand-crafted goods.

Complaints
Our policy is to provide the highest quality of products and service to our customers. If you have a complaint please direct it to: The Managing Director, The Mexican Rug Company (UK) Ltd., Dane Lodge, Main street, Milton, Derbyshire, DE65 6EF, England. We will contact you within 5 days with a response.

Remittance Terms.
Payment in full is required before any goods are despatched. All invoices include VAT at the standard rate and delivery. Our VAT number is: 907 8922 91.

Confidentiality.
Customer details are strictly confidential and are protected within the current Data Protection Act. The Mexican Rug Company (UK) Ltd. will not disclose any information provided to third parties. Please see our Privacy Policy.

Amendments
Please note that these Terms and Conditions may be amended at any time and you should read the currently posted issue before placing your order. By placing an order with us you thereby agree to abide by those Terms and Conditions.
